OUR VISION
Freedom Farm Academy powered by SAMSAM is a soil-regenerating natural agricultural system in Phan, Chiang Rai which provides a range of services including but not limited to consulting and design of new projects all over the world. We also operate a teaching Academy for permaculture, including the study of its general principles, the design of new land plots, the renovation and redirection of traditional farms as well as the ability to grow your own high quality, natural and health preserving food.
Freedom Farm Academy, Chiang Rai, Thailand also aims to be at the forefront of developing innovative farming and planting concepts based on traditional farming techniques enriched by our regenerative agriculture principles within the philosophy of permaculture. As such we do develop the food system of the future, which can end dependency and create food abundance and freedom for ALL and not only for some selected, often self-appointed few.

WE GIVE
Thai children and youth who are disadvantaged the chance to create occupation and increase the quality of life.We also develop a center of excellence and education for them which provides good experience of actual farming in natural way.We educate about local environmental challenges, dispelling system propaganda. Regenerating soil involves enriching it with natural nutrients and organisms for long-term maintenance.We provide internships, employment, trainings, higher education for farmers in Thailand and local as well as international communities to learn about sustainable farming and the foundation of FREEDOM.
WE SHARE
The techniques of nature preservation, healthy food production married with traditional Thai gardening. Integrating regenerative agriculture and animal farming aligns with Earth's climate, countering extreme weather myths.

Meet Dr. Woody
HELLO, I AM DR. WOODY, GENERAL MANAGER, FARM OPERATIONS
I have been working in alternative energy planning for local communities for almost 20 years.On top of planning, implementing and developing our Freedom Farm Academy Designs I will bring in natural, complementary ways of energy production. For example, We encourage households to use leaves from the forest to produce briquettes.
This can reduce fuel costs and also prevent the unnecessary cutting of wood in the forest. We also encourage the community to grow oil plants to derive oil from these plants and turn it into biodiesel, which can be used in small agricultural engines.

Our journey started with the immensely important local villagers' support. They pitched in, despite being over 60 years of age. Eventually, we welcome Burmese workers, mostly war refugees, into our team. Together, we form a diverse, compassionate, and dedicated group committed to maintaining a thriving farm all-year-round!
